Weird dress ... pretty colors July 16, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
While I kept this dress (which I bought in the pink and navy), it is definitely not at all what it seems to be in the description or picture. It's a very thin cotton material with a similarly thin lining. The bad thing about it is that it has a PADDED bust (which I'm pretty sure was NOT indicated by the description and makes a huge difference). As I am a D cup and this dress, even in a larger size (which I bought because I typically have problems with the bust and don't mind some room in the body area) I'm pretty sure it would not sit right on anyone above a B cup (and anyone above a B cup really has no business wearing a dress without a bra, or at least it's not practical). Because I liked the colors so much (they are pretty, bright and unique), I took the time to alter the dress myself and take the padding out (which was relatively easy to do because of the design), but I don't recommend buying it if you don't like padding, sewing or paying someone to sew!
That being said, the service was great and fast! I was not displeased with anything, but disappointed that it was a little different from what I expected and what it appears to be in the picture. I'd recommend they use actual models to give a better and more realistic idea of what the dress looks like on a human being. It would definitely put it into perspective.
